AXRY-NGS bearings are double-direction, screw-on precision bearing units ready for installation and intended for highly rigid and at the same time high-speed applications, for example for Mill-turn tables or vertical lathes.
The bearing absorbs axial and radial forces and tilting moments backlash-free.

AXRY-NGS bearings offer optimum speed, rigidity and life time in the available space. To achieve the limiting speeds and long duty-cycles, we recommend cooling Oil circulation on the inner and outer ring. The bearings are delivered pre-greased as standard. Oil, oil pass and oil/air minimum lubrication are available on request.

Generation AXRY-NGS

myonic bearings of the generation NGS were developed from the consistent optimisation and further development of the AXRY-EX series and include numerous improved features:

■ Axial and radial lubrication via the outer ring
■ Optional, radial lubrication via the inner ring (-SBI)

■ Cooling channels can be designed directly on the inner ring

Of course, all variants, restricted radial and axial runout, restricted height tolerances H1/H2 or also customer-specific bearing adjustments, are available without restriction for the NGS bearings.

Generation AXRY-NGS-SBI

Generation NGS-SBI myonic bearings have the same functions as the NGS series, but have been dimensioned for high-speed outer ring rotation and are the successor to the AXRY-OS series. NGS-SBI is characterised by the following improved features:

■ Increased limiting speeds with long Duty cycle
■ Radial lubrication via the inner ring
■ Particularly low-noise operation
■ Reduced temperature development

Bearing structure

AXRY-NGS (NGS-SBI) bearings consist of three rings: an inner ring, the outer ring and an axial washer. The inner ring bore is manufactured to produce a fit, with the appropriate tolerance.
The axial washer is unsupported in the area of the hole and is centred to the inner ring and fixed using fastening screws.

Fastening screws

The completely assembled bearing is held together using fastening screws. The axial washer is aligned with the inner ring at the factory. If the fixing screws have to be removed, they should only be replaced with fastening screws after the bearing has been completely screwed down. If the fastening screws are removed beforehand, the axial washer must be realigned so that no imbalance occurs in the system.
